Things To Do

The most famous local attraction has to be Waverley Abbey, a five-minute drive from The Princess Royal. The first monastery founded in Britain, it dates back to 1128. A stunning site full of history, it was also one of the locations for the filming of Elizabeth.

A short ten-minute drive from the hotel is The Farnham Castle Keep, a 12th-century fortress and English Heritage site where you’ll find exhibitions, gardens and ruins to explore. It’s also close to Farnham’s pretty town centre, which is another great area to explore, especially on market days.

Watts Gallery and Artists' Village offers visitors a cultural mix of galleries, exhibitions, family events and workshops. There are also gardens and woodlands to explore which, together with the galleries, make up the Artists' Village.

Nature lovers should also make time to visit Bird World, where daily activities include feeding the penguins, train rides, animal encounters and flying displays.
